Narcissus Albus Plenus Odoratus is well known as the – Double Pheasant’s Eye. Many flower experts also call it by its nickname – Daffodil. This variety has been known since the 18th century and over the years it has become a very wide range of different shapes and colours.
These lovely, white double blooms have more petals (than the regular narcissus) and a narrow, frilled yellow midpoint.
Albus Plenus Odoratus can reach 30-35 cm in length and they make wonderful cut flowers that can last for many weeks. This narcissus blooms in the late-spring (in May), and the flowers have a very powerful fragrance!
Greek mythology says that there were handsome young men and beautiful young women, who were obsessed with admiring their own beauty that their personalities turned out to be very self-centered and narcissistic. As a result, the gods transformed them into the beautiful narcissus flowers.
